{gardens blooming behind the Domkerk, one of our favorite places to play}

it’s very old

Speaking of which…My friend Alison reminded me that our fair city turned 888 years old this week!

My parents have been here 5 times & this is the first that the weather has been nearly perfect

They know the city relatively well at this point, but have definitely been enjoying it more with the sunshine

A few times while Little Man was at creche, we walked into town together, sat at cafes with a drink & lunch & just talked. It is so nice to have time with them.

3 weeks have flown by & I already miss them! Little Man will, too. I can’t wait till we are Stateside in a few months.

This is when I have pangs of wanting to go back the most.

    Lovely photos! Looks like I need to head over to the Dom and check out the gardens now that they’re green again!

    It is such a beautiful city.

    I’m sorry the time with your folks has gone so quickly, but soon you’ll be home again – home again – jiggity – jig!!!!

    Glad you had a nice visit with your family. Cafes, drinking, eating, talking. My idea of a perfect time.

    Beautiful!!! Saying goodbye is so bittersweet, isn’t it? Thankfully you have very fun summer vacation plans including a trip back to the US to look forward to!!
