Images of Iran

December 3, 2007 § 5 Comments

It’s easy to get desensitized by the negatives we are fed by the mainstream media. A friend forwarded me this link and I want to share it. Make sure your sound is up! Let’s not allow a Certain Administration lead us into another war.

Images we don’t always see….

War may sometimes be a necessary evil. But no matter how necessary, it is always an evil, never a good. We will not learn how to live together in peace by killing each other’s children.

Give me a break. Isn’t it the leader of Iran saying he is going to wipe Israel from the map? How about addressing that little tidbit? War vs Iran is not inevitable.

Thanks for posting that. It’s a good reminder that the people of Tehran are more like us than not. :-)

And, Anonymous, I think the point of the slide show is that the PEOPLE of Iran, as opposed to the leadership, are everyday people and not to be demonized.

I would be horrified, for example, if people across the world thought that I had the same sensibilities and/or opinions as the leadership of the U.S.!

Thanks Chou :) That’s pretty much why I posted it- the people factor! It wouldn’t matter if they were Israeli, Palestinian, African or Canadian. The point is that we are already in one nasty war and leaning towards another- well, hopefully not.
I find it interesting that anonymous didn’t leave a name. Then again, I’m not surprised.

THank you for posting this–it is important to see the faces of the people and not just the rhetoric of the govt.

Thank you for helping me show my 13-year-old daughter what a small world we really live in. We both grew a little more today.
