We are in the US & having a great time!
Internet has been down but now it’s up. Thanks for the emails wondering if we were lost somewhere between Holland & Boston ;)
I’ll be posting some pictures soon- lots because most are for papa {who we miss terribly…}
Will be catching up with everyone’s news tonight before bed!
Here are some shots of the flight entertainment for those of you who asked. It was relatively successful- Little Man seemed impressed but I’m guessing there’s room for improvement. The box & contents cost about 20 euro in total. A few things from home & the rest was just an assortment of whatever I thought might catch his attention. Then again, once you are up in the air it’s pretty much do whatever it takes to get through. Not pictured: SNACKS. Oh, the importance of SNACKS.
xox

{mini suitcase! that’s jip & janneke on the cover}

{he loves books but on the plane could have cared less}

{pipe cleaners! very nice to stick between the seats & in mommy’s hair}

{wooden animals! eh, not so much. putting them in & out of the bag- YES}

{roll of stickers & pad of paper- YES. mommy’s hands, face & neck were far cooler than the paper though}

{cards- sort of. but my little manager seemed to think they are much better organized on the floor}

{little markers on one end & stamps on the other- absolutely YES. however…in addition to the beautiful stickers on mommy’s hands, neck & cheeks, there were colorful animal imprints, too}

{thomas, emily & little wooden cars- YES!!!}

I think this is the first time I’ve read your blog with you here and knowing that I’ll see you later for a good old fashioned HANG. Yipea!!
Love all the colors in this suitcase.
We have presents for Minh, which may need to stay at Nana’s house…..given all you are lugging already.
Can’t wait to see you in all your stickered, stamped and colored glory!

I’m glad the trip went well! We are about to go on a long car ride, and I’m feeling unprepared after seeing your post. I do have Moo, Ba, La La La packed though. Enjoy your time with your family!

I think once you get the perfect travel kit, you should start mass producing them and selling them! You could have different ones for different age groups. I’d totally buy one, not looking forward to the 15 hour flight to Australia later this year.

Brilliant!!! I’m laughing out loud with the play-by-play you also included… I owe you an email. Digging out during nap and tonight – I hope!
But yes yes yes to a get-together! :-)

Nice job with the bag of fun! We always do one carry on with nothing but toys and snacks.

What a creative little suitcase, and so cute! It’s fun to see what little ones want to do with things that’s not what you ever thought of. Always a new way to think of the world.
